Dr. Mahfuz Ariff is a renowned Clinical Oncologist (Cancer Specialist) based out of Kolkata with over two decades of experience in the field of Radiotherapy & Chemotherapy. He is a specialist in Radiotherapy, Brachytherapy and Chemotherapy of solid malignant (cancerous) tumors.

Dr. Ariff finalized his MBBS from Calcutta National Medical College & Hospital, Kolkata. This was followed by completion of Diploma in Radiotherapy (DMRT) from IPGMER, Kolkata and MD from NRS Medical College & Hospital, Kolkata. Furthermore, Dr. Ariff underwent training in Radiotherapy for a period of 2½ years under the able guidance of Dr. S. Gupta as a part of DNB-Part II examinations from Saroj Gupta Cancer Centre & Research Institute SGCC&RI (formerly known as Cancer Centre Welfare Home & Research Institute), Kolkata.

As a Clinical Oncologist, Dr. Ariff currently holds charge of Department of Radiotherapy at SGCC&RI. Besides this, he also practices in the noon hours at Kasturi Medical Center located at Joka, Howrah. Dr. Ariff is a medical educator too. He is teaching faculty for the DRT Course at State Medical Faculty of West Bengal and a Course coordinator for Diplomat in National Board program in Radiotherapy offered by SGCC&RI.

Dr Ariff is a regular participant in seminars conducted on Clinical Oncology. He often holds Cancer awareness campaigns particularly in the rural areas where awareness levels are low and conducts screening for any forms of malignancy. Dr. Ariff is actively involved in Cancer Prevention Activities and Cancer Survivor Meets as well.

Some of the key areas that Dr. Ariff plays a pivotal role are Cancer Screening and Early Diagnosis, Cancer Awareness, Radiotherapy, Chemotherapy, Biological & Targeted Therapy and Pain and Palliative Care.
